My aunt has had this hanging on her back patio for as long as I can remember. I love all the birds in different fabrics. I take a photo of it every time I’m here (here’s the one from last year) and think of making something similar. Maybe using this bird pattern. Perhaps one day I’ll use my scraps to make one for home.

I have seen a string of birds like this before at a used book store hanging on thier door. I sketched it out as a "to do" project. Thanks for reminding me.
A friend made my sister something like this out of paper origami cranes and it is really cool. :)
I was just looking at the bird pattern you mentioned yesterday! lovely picture you took...i also found a cute pattern in Better Homes and Gardens Creative Collection from Fall 2008 called "wild birds" with beaded loops for hanging.
