These fabric finds came from a favorite shop of mine here in Livermore.  I haven’t seen these Christmas fabric yet.  I want to find a few more to make a quilt…or maybe these would be cute stockings.  The books came from the Kinokuniya Bookstore in San Francisco.  I was surprised by how small the craft book section was, ours back home is probably 3 times bigger (at least).  But they did have a nice English section of art books, as well as some in Japanese.  I will check out that section more often back home.
IMG_1340 We head back home today.  Brice slept on the flight here, so I’m hoping we can have a repeat performance on the way home.  The wedding was nice, I got to catch up with some family.  Brice got to meet a fourth cousin (yes, 4th!).  Today I think we’re going to go and visit with my new brother-in-laws family before we head home.  I will share more photos on the family blog later tonight, but I loved this photo of my sister.  She is standing in front of a fan (sans shoes) while talking to some friends.  It was terribly hot and stuffy in the reception hall, and the poor girl is 7 months pregnant now.  She handled it well, with a smile on her face.

**EDITED**  The holiday fabric is Be Merry by Riley Blake Designs - found here.

Beautiful fabrics! I might need to hunt the snowmen down because my mum-in-law's obsessed with them hehe I miss Kinokuniya... when I was living in Singapore, I'd go weekly, and it was a HUGE store.

Your sister's very brave, handling being pregnant in the heat so gracefully! I'd be splayed out complaining a lot hehe

Call me crazy but I love winter...Christmas, cold weather [as long as I'm indoors], the wonderful coziness in front of the fire.
The snowmen and tree fabrics...rock!!

Congratulations to your sister and her husband. Two momentous occasions they will always remember - their wedding and the birth of their child. Wishing them a long and happy future together and a beautiful, healthy baby.

PS. Please stop showing me such gorgeous fabric, I am trying to save! Ha ha! :)
