I’m slowly recovering. It rained all day today. That helped a lot. I’m also on my third day of Clairton. I was so happy to learn that I can take that, since just about everything is a no-no with high blood pressure. I always feel that allergies meds take awhile to work…they need a few days to get into your system and do their job. Hopefully tomorrow I don’t feel so cruddy for the first half of the day. A lot of you were so kind as to mention being careful of pneumonia. I have had it numerous time and know that it’s not fun. Luckily (and I spared you this detail in the last post) I cough everything up the next morning. Sorry for the visual on that one. Since taking the Clairton I've been able to sleep through most of the night, which has been great, but I'm sleeping like the dead! Not much crafting has been going on. I don’t feel very productive when I'm like this. But I did start to work on my art journal for a online class I signed up for. I think it will help me to have an outlet for my paper-creativity and maybe get myself more into painting and putting my doodles to good use. This was my first page, a “Who am I?” page. I’ll share pages on Flickr from time to time, but not all of them, it is after all a journal, and those are meant to be a little private. The class is called Tell Your Story. I’ll be traveling that road for the next 6 weeks…when I'm not sewing.

So glad to hear you are emerging from the funk! The online class sounds really cool. I've never done anything like that before. Let us know how you like it...
So glad you are feeling better. I only had pneumonia once and that was 40 years ago. I do think it is awful and that you feel like doing nothing. Hoping that you feel better and the tendency to catch pneumonia goes away. My doctor in college told me that once you have it you are more likely to get it again. His advice was to stay hydrated always because the lack of fluid in the lungs makes them more susceptible to illness. Found out that is an old wive's tale, but I still do it by habit. I haven't any valid advice other than rest and time to heal. The crafting will come back like everything else it will take time.
When I read your previous post I thought allergies, because I was going through the same stuff. I have been taking Claritin for about a month and it’s amazing! And it did take 3 days to finally work, it was like a miracle on the 3rd day, haha! That journal is really cool. I have made one of those before, and I love looking back through it. Maybe it’s time to start a new one. Thank you for the inspiration!
I am glad you are feeling better :)
I hope you start feeling better soon and that it is not that awful cold that starts out as "allergies". I will keep my fingers crossed for you. And if the Claritin doesn't work, it doesn't work as well for me, I have some Zyrtec you can try if you want. I love your art journal :)
i just love how you sign up for a class to expand your already "sometimes" crafting.... i'm a tad jealous, but excited to see what is to come. i am planning on northern trek in June- hey, maybe that would be inspiration to sew a quilt for the new baby and have you longarm it? hmmmmmm.... if only i wasn't neck high in to do's :)
feel better soon, its just not the same without your blogginess.
So glad you're on the mend. Hopefully you'll feel well soon. :)
I went through this last year. Mine turned out to be allergies after finally going to an Ear/Nose/Throat guy in Vancouver (so does my sis). Now two nasal sprays and allegra every day. Allergies totally zap your energy so it's worth it to find the combo that works for you and stick with it :)
Nettle tea is good for allergies, nettles have a chemical in them that are a natural antihistamine. If you put honey in it, it tastes quite nice!
