A New Toy

My husband constantly surprises me.  Not only did he remember it was my birthday, but he got me an amazing gift!  Without ANY prompting!  He even wrapped it himself…in foil and found ribbon in the craftroom.  I have to give him major points for that.

He got me a Bamboo Tablet for the computer!  What this does is allow me to draw on the computer more intuitively.  It’s for use in place of the mouse and is amazing!  I have been wanting one for a few years and he stored it away and went on the hunt and found one for me!  (The link above will show you a video on what it is and how it works.)

Fox Foxie-2
Squirrel Owl-2

CoffeeTime

I have been busy drawing up all sorts of fun stuff.  Some of these will be screen prints.

I love your artwork, and Happy Birthday!

I got a little Wacom a few years ago... and I just can't seem to do it/get it/grasp it/hold it. You inspire me to dust it off and give it a go tomorrow. Hopefully giving it a go while it's snowing!

ooohhh so looking forward to how you get on with this. Someone was getting rid of theirs last year, and gave it to us, but I haven't had a good play yet.

I will say that's so lovely of your hubby to have wrapped it so sweetly. aawwww - brownie points for him, for the rest of the year.

I want a tablet too. I've heard good things about theses Bamboo ones. I think my husband is getting me a photo tent for my b-day.

ooo, lucky, lucky. I'm sure you have to be able to draw first, right? haha. I heard about these the first time when Quilt Dad attended Heather Ross' fabric design workshop. Very cool. Have fun!

What a 'crafty' hubby you have. I am impressed with the foil job. So glad you posted about this. I'm going to go check your link out now.

Alex bought me a Bamboo Tablet - the same one I think - for my birthday too (which was in October)! Aren't our boys awesome?! Can't wait to see more of what you come up with while using it!

Too Cute drawings! MR got me one years ago, then updated the computer and told me there was no place to plug it in. One of these days I'm going to get brave, and smart, and figure it out if it will still hook up. Technology changes so fast and some toys are left behind
:c(...like me...haha
Blessings :c)

Very cool! What size did you get: small or large? I'm just trying to decide if I'd be happy with a small one.

Oh my goodness, I just got one of these too from my awesome hubby. I'm mostly using it for Photoshop editing, but it's fun to see what you're doing with it. Maybe I'll have to give that a try too!!

Yippeeeee! How cool is that? I just got one of these babies myself. Sadly, haven't had more than a few minutes to play, but I'm looking forward to it.
