Welcome to my little corner of the world. I'm Christina, The Sometimes Crafter. This is a place to share my creations and inspirations. My blog helps to keep me motivated and is a personal journal of my achievements in sewing. I hope along the journey that it inspires others as well.
Creating
While I primarily sew and quilt, my passion for crafting extends to all mediums. Embroidery, knitting, block printing, photography, digital design...to name just a few. I spend my days at home with my 4-year-old son, Brice, and our kitties Norman and Newman - which leaves less and less time for crafting these days, but I still try to fit in whatever I can. I am also a free-motion, longarm quilter and enjoy quilting for others. My first book, co-authored with Diane Gilleland of CraftyPod will be published winter 2013 with Potter Craft.
Tutorials + Patterns
I love to not only share what I create, but also patterns and techniques for others to follow. I never like to hear someone say "I can't do that!" and strive to create instructions for others that have them saying "I did it!". I have numerous free tutorials on my blog and sell some of my more involved patterns in my online shop. I have a very generous 'terms of use' policy that you can read more about here.
